A little history...

The Danish student house was one of the first student houses built within the C.I.U.P. park, towards the end of the 1920's. During these years, the President Director General of Tuborg Breweries, Benny Dessau, and the cultural attaché for the Danish Embassy in Paris, Helge Wamberg, were the driving forces of the Danish Committee. They received funding for the future Fondation Danoise, through private donations, and from the Danish State.
The architect of the Fondation Danoise was Professor Kaj Gottlob.
Following a donation from the Danish Committee the House is presently the property of The University of Paris.
