Cookie policy

This translation is provided for information purposes only. Only the French version of this cookie policy is legally binding.

ARTICLE 1 – Purpose of this policy

This policy explains how we use cookies and other trackers (“trackers”) when you browse the website: https://www.fondationdanoise.org/.

It describes:

  • What trackers are,
  • The purposes for which we use them,
  • How you can manage your choices at any time via our banner and the “Manage consent” link,
  • Your data protection rights.

This policy supplements our privacy policy, which sets out how we process your personal data when the use of trackers involves processing within the meaning of the GDPR.

ARTICLE 2 – What is a tracker?

A tracker is a small file or similar technology (for example: browser cookies, local/session storage, invisible pixels, app SDKs, digital fingerprinting) placed on or read from your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) when you visit the website.

Trackers may be:

  • Placed by the website (https://www.fondationdanoise.org/) or by third parties (placed by partners),
  • Exempt from consent when they are strictly necessary for the operation of the website or for the service you have explicitly requested,
  • Subject to your consent for all other purposes (audience measurement, advertising, personalisation, etc.).

Not all trackers necessarily collect personal data. When they do (for example: IP address, online identifiers, browsing data), we process such data in accordance with the GDPR.

ARTICLE 3 – How can you express your choices?

On your first visit, our cookie banner lets you accept all, refuse all (except exempt trackers) or customise your choices by purpose. You can change your choices below:

ARTICLE 4 – Who is the data controller?

The data controller is the Fondation danoise, a foundation with no share capital, registered in Paris under SIREN number 784563140.
Its registered office is at 7H boulevard Jourdan, 75014 Paris.

For any questions about data protection or to exercise your rights, you can contact us: contact@fondationdanoise.org – +33 (0)1 40 78 12 50.

In some cases, our third-party partners place their own trackers and then act as independent data controllers.

ARTICLE 5 – What types of trackers do we use?

We use the following trackers:

  • Trackers necessary for the operation of the website (exempt from consent). They ensure that the website works and that the services you have requested are provided. Examples: remembering your preferences (language, privacy choices), keeping your session active, securing authentication, managing the shopping basket;
  • Audience measurement: helps us understand traffic to and use of the website in order to improve how it works;
  • Embedded video players: allow you to watch videos hosted on third-party platforms directly.

ARTICLE 6 – Consent

Non-essential trackers are placed only if you accept them.

On your first visit, a banner allows you to:

  • Accept all;
  • Refuse all (except necessary trackers);
  • Customise your choices by purpose.

You can change your preferences at any time via the “Manage consent” link at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing your consent is as easy as giving it.

Until you have made your choice, no non-essential trackers are placed.

ARTICLE 7 – Retention period

  • Trackers placed on your device have a maximum lifespan of 13 months.
  • Data collected through these trackers (for example browsing information, statistics, online identifiers) are kept for a maximum of 25 months.

At the end of these periods, cookies expire automatically and the data are deleted or anonymised. New consent is obtained no later than the end of the 13-month period.

ARTICLE 8 – What are your rights regarding trackers?

Rights relating to trackers

  • You can accept, refuse or customise the placing of trackers directly via our banner on your first visit.
  • You can change your choices at any time using the “Manage consent” link at the bottom of every page.
  • You can also set your browser to block cookies or delete existing ones. The options are usually found in the browser’s “Options”, “Preferences” or “Privacy” menus.

Rights relating to your personal data (GDPR)

Where the use of trackers results in the processing of personal data (for example your IP address, online identifiers or browsing data), you have the following rights:

  • Right of access, rectification and erasure;
  • Right to restriction of processing and to object;
  • Right to data portability (under certain conditions);
  • Right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing already carried out;
  • Right to set out instructions regarding what happens to your data after your death.

To exercise your rights, you can contact us at: contact@fondationdanoise.org or at 7H boulevard Jourdan, 75014 Paris.

Your request must be accompanied by valid proof of identity.

Finally, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (in France, the CNIL: https://www.cnil.fr/fr/webform/adresser-une-plainte).
