FAQ

Where is the CIUP located?

The Cité is located in Paris’s 14th arrondissement. The nearest station is Cité Universitaire on the RER B line. This line provides direct access to Roissy–Charles de Gaulle Airport and also serves central Paris stations such as Saint-Michel and Les Halles within just a few minutes.

Cité Universitaire is also served by Tram Line T3.

How do I find the Fondation danoise?

When leaving the RER station, simply cross Boulevard Jourdan and enter the grounds of the Cité Universitaire at number 7. Take the path on the left.

The Fondation danoise is located at the very end of the avenue, next to a small roundabout. It is adjacent to the Maison du Japon and directly opposite the Fondation Suisse and the Maison des Étudiants Suédois.

Vehicle access (including taxis) is via 27 Boulevard Jourdan. The gatekeeper can direct your driver to the House.

If you are arriving in your own vehicle, you must request access in advance by emailing papiau@fondationdanoise.org or heilmann@fondationdanoise.org and providing the vehicle’s registration number.

Parking on site is limited to two hours. After that, vehicles must be parked elsewhere.

A nearby public car park is available at: https://www.saemes.fr/fr/parking/parking-charlety-coubertin

Can I park inside the Cité?

Residents and their guests are not permitted to park inside the Cité.

You may enter through 27 Boulevard Jourdan to unload luggage, but your vehicle must then be moved elsewhere.

When can I apply for a summer stay ?

Fill out the short-stay request form on this website well in advance of your desired date. You will receive a response shortly. You will then need to pay a deposit of 80 euros to confirm your reservation. This deposit is non-refundable in the event of cancellation.

Why are summer rates higher?

We strive to keep accommodation costs as low as possible during the academic year. The higher summer rates help make this possible.

Can I apply for a short stay throughout the year?

If you are visiting one of our residents or travelling to Paris for a few days, please contact us to inquire about availability. One of our guest rooms may be available. From time to time, standard rooms are also available for stays of one or two months. Please complete the short-stay application form so that we can contact you if accommodation becomes available.
